Carol Singing around Queens Park – December 2014

As usual (for the 39th consecutive year!), we will be singing in the streets around Queens Park to raise money for local charities. Details:

§  East side: Thursday 18th December 2014 – meet at 7.30pm at the park end of Summerfield Avenue.

§  West side: Tuesday 23rd December 2013, meet at 7.30 pm outside 7 Kempe Road

A warm welcome is extended to everyone, for either or both events – either to sing or to help with the door-to-door collection. When we finish (around 9.30 pm, depending on the weather) we will repair to someone's home for seasonal refreshments - which usually include punch and mince pies.

In 2013 we raised £700 (with a small contribution from choir funds), split equally between St Mungo’s (see thank you letter) and Ashford Place (previously Cricklewood Homeless Concern – see thank you letter).

In 2012 we again raised £900 (with a small contribution from choir funds) for  Cricklewood Homeless Shelter – see their thank you letter. They wrote again in June 2013, with a copy of their annual report.

In 2011, we raised (with a small contribution from choir funds) £900 for Cricklewood Homeless Shelter – see their thank you letter. This followed the £830 we raised for them in 2010 (thank you letter)

In 2009 we raised £584, for Salusbury Worldsee their thank you letter

In 2008 we raised £670, which was split equally between two local charities:

·               The Brent Branch of the Samaritans

·               The Special Yoga Centre
